They tricked me again. AGAIN! I was sure this time that Hill Ton was our new home. We stayed two nights there and just sat around relaxing like normal the whole time. But as I sat there, pretending to sleep, I watched my people packing up our stuff back into the bags and getting ready to leave!
OH, HELL NO. Not again...
I like it here. I’m staying.
I’m done with the car - you promised we were home now.
My man tried to put me in my plastic box so we could leave, but I dodged out of the way and made a run for the nearest hiding space. The sneaky lady cut me off, so I made a huge leap up onto the bed to run the other direction. My man is too quick, though, and caught me as I was crossing the bed. I kicked and screamed and put up as tough a fight as I could. When he tried to push me into my box, I put my feet out and kicked it away. I’M NOT LEAVING AGAIN!
But it was a losing battle. Those people can be sooo stubborn sometimes. Through much trickery and villainous behavior, they found a way to get me into my plastic box and carried me away back into that cursed car.
We went for a short drive and have found our way to a park. They’ve put my leash on me so I can’t run away. I’m so mad I can’t enjoy the park at all. My man is trying to show me some big birds in the pond beside us, but I’m pretending not to care. I’m turning my back on my man, to show him how upset I am. Such a beautiful home we left behind! There isn’t any air conditioning in this stupid park at all.
They finally get the hint and are taking me back to the car. A very strange old man is greeting us along the way, though. He wants to pat me on the head and says I’m a beautiful kitty. He says he’s never seen a kitty as beautiful as me. Of course not! I’m from Oregon! When we leave, he gives my lady one of those silver discs that the toll booths like.
And now I now why we left the air conditioned palace...
We have a new home again, and this time it is a real house. Not a stupid fake fabric house in the forest. Not a tiny smelly room in the middle of nowhere.
Not sleeping in the car again... It’s not as nice as my La Kwinta, but it will do. My people are here and I forgive them for messing with me. we don’t get the whole house, but we do get the upstairs with the deck and the attic. I can only go on the deck or in the attic when someone goes with me - I miss our old house since I could go on the deck almost any time I wanted.
But this is a good house too. I just wish we had our stuff.
My people are sleeping on the floor tonight. I’m spending the night in the window. Too much to see - There are a lot of birds here, but they’re mostly sleeping now. Except for the owl! We have an owl! I’m going to see if this one will be my friend. And there are wonderful fireflies too, which I’ve never seen before. I want to catch and play with their glowy tasty bodies.
